North Newcastle Food Hub

Fighting Food Poverty

Within our North Newcastle community, we noticed rising levels of child poverty and families struggling with the stress of having to decide whether to keep the heat on or put food on the table.

To help address this, we piloted a Food Hub facility in partnership with local food providers to take food that would otherwise go to waste and make it available (FREE) to our families and individuals in need.
